Aims and Objectives

At Back on Track our objective is to provide the best and most relevant care and support to anyone who walks through our doors. To enable us to achieve the highest standards possible we will:

  • Provide a warm, family atmosphere within our homes enabling every vulnerable person to feel safe and comfortable. To create this atmosphere, we will have the same set of key workers within each property because familiarity builds trust. Once a day there will be house meetings this isn’t compulsory. There will also be group sessions held throughout the week again this isn’t compulsory, but each member will be encouraged to attend in a gentle and positive manner. Building relationships with your peers and keyworkers is very important to us.
  • Provide a variety of services and 1:2:1 support. Taking the holistic approach to develop physically, psychologically, socially and emotionally.

This will be done by offering services such as Counselling sessions, Cooking classes 1:2:1 and within a group, introducing them to the Gym and classes locally, Money management, Team building exercises, self-discovery workshops, CV writing and Job application support, Developing healthy relationship classes etc.

  • Provide the maximum opportunity for each young person to mature as an individual to develop their personal identity and accept responsibility for their own actions. We will achieve this by encouraging independence but gradually starting with the smaller things ie house tasks, opening bank accounts, attending house meetings, attending the gym, filling out application forms etc.

We will always involve the young person with any decisions made, this builds trust and empowers each person to think about their goals and futures.
